In the Name of the Father (Nel nome del padre) tells both of the daily tragedy of refugees landing on European shores in search of peace and, at the same time, it depicts the drama and the effort of all those who volunteer to provide assistance, often in vain. Therefore, not only violence is perpetrated In the Name of the Father but also, fortunately, people are rescued In the Name of the Father. The illustration is heavily inspired by Picasso’s Guernica, an extraordinary symbol of protest against war and all forms of violence.
