Q:        What Information is collected on Stillarte?

A:         Information is collected from you when you contribute to or use some of the advanced features on the site, such as subscribing to our newsletter, using our contact form or placing an order. As appropriate, you therefore may be asked to enter your: name, email address, mailing address or credit card information. The information we collect is clearly set out on the web page on which we collect it. In addition, we may collect your IP address and use COOKIES unless you configure your web browser not to accept them. Q:        Why we collect your personal information?

A:         We collect information from you so that we can personalise your use of the site, assist your use of the site and improve the site generally. Information is used in order to process any orders you place. Depending upon your selections within the “email notifications” section we may send information about related products and services from us. You may update these selections at any time by contacting us or responding to any emails we send.

Q:        Is my personal information disclosed to any third parties?

A:         We will only pass on information about you as an individual (as opposed to aggregate information), to third parties and third parties overseas, to enable us to perform services requested by you or with your prior consent. All orders placed on our site are transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, and then encrypted into our Payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorised with special access rights to such systems. This ensures utmost privacy and security of your information. Note the small locked padlock icon that will appear in a corner of your browser during the checkout process. We are also PCI compliant so do not store any payment information, or disclose your personal details to third parties.

Q:        What Cookies do you use?

A:         We use session cookies and persistent cookies. We use a session cookie to remember your log in and to retain the products you add to your basket. Non logged in users’ basket contents are kept for 3 days after which the cookie is deleted. Session cookies are necessary for the functionality of the website and disabling them may render aspects of our site unusable.

As far as persistent cookies are concerned, we use Google Analytics to assess how customers interact with the website so we can improve customer satisfaction and user experience. This is an important feature to help innovate and monitor the performance of the website.
